KAROSKIN
Karoskin is human skin from donors and can be used as a temporary covering of severely burned patients awaiting all kinds of grafting procedures from autologous keratinocytes to split thickness skin grafts. The donated skin temporarily functions as the patient’s own skin, reducing pain and decreasing the risk of infection. Indications for this treatment can be all kinds of acute partial and full thickness wounds e.g. Lyell’s disease, but also chronic wounds.
